Job Summary: Serves as the lead PR and communications contact for the Texas/Oklahoma division of CBRE, responsible for PR/media strategy and execution in support of the Advisory business, including brokerage and capital markets. This role will serve as the primary Corporate Communications contact for CBRE in the Dallas, Houston and Austin markets, responsible for proactively pitching real estate transactions, research and trends; responding to reporter inquiries; handling crisis communications; and managing local social media. The role is also responsible for internal communications on behalf of division leadership, and in support of various company initiatives.
Candidates should have proven media relations experience, excellent judgement and exceptional attention to detail. Candidates must demonstrate strong writing capabilities, with an ability to craft messages for a variety of internal and external audiences. Candidates must be capable of working effectively in a matrix environment, partnering closely with other members of the Corporate Communications team and cross-functional partners (e.g., Marketing, Research, and Sales Management).
Serves as the primary PR contact for CBRE in Texas and Oklahoma, interfacing with journalists and media outlets, both proactively and reactively, on a regular basis.
Manages CBRE's local Twitter account, and counsels brokers and leadership on effective social seller strategies.
Develops and implements external and internal communications content (i.e., press releases, pitch letters, social media newsletters, leadership messages, , etc.).
Supports brokers on effectively positioning themselves in the market through PR, social media, speaking engagements and other thought leadership opportunities.

Experienced communications professional. Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years of related experience. Knowledge of commercial real estate (or a related industry) is a plus, but is not required.
Experience in commercial real estate is strongly preferred.
