A Twin Cities commercial real estate management firm with one hundred buildings under management is developing a residential management team. In this position, the Director of Residential Property Management will be responsible for creating the team and the systems needed to support team operations. The position will initially focus on the existing portfolio of 588 market-rate, mixed-income and affordable units amongst five multifamily properties. This position will gain responsibility for additional projects anticipated and in the current development pipeline. All properties under management are located exclusively within the seven-county metro area of the Twin Cities.
This position collaborates with senior management members to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, tools and personnel to create this new management team and allocate resources designed to meet the goals of the organization and real estate owners.
The Director will collaborate with the firm’s CFO and controller to create a development budget for the residential management team including selecting, purchasing and implementing accounting software, tracking systems and procedures to operate multifamily market rate housing.
The Director will create and operate a team of on-site and off-site managers, maintenance, leasing and marketing staff and direct and track coordination between leasing, development and operations
Excellent Oral and written communication skills.
10+ Years of experience in market rate multifamily housing, affordable housing experience a plus
Property Management operations oversight and leadership
Extensive experience budgeting, expense tracking and cash flow
Proven experience in developing direct reports and creating a respected customer focused organization
MN Real Estate License, experience with MN Multi Housing Association (MHA), BOMA, IREM or other organizations a plus
