JOB SUMMARY Provides supervisory functions for a team of analysts ensuring day to day functional requirements and deadlines are met. Assumes the core responsibilities and serves in capacity as manager in the event of their absence. Responsible for auditing and reviewing mortgage more complex loan documents prior to entering loan data into the mortgage loan servicing systems. May work on more complex projects as it pertains to all related insurance and property taxes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES Acts as a 'go-to' contact for day-to-day process and work flow for department, in absence of Manager. May train junior level analysts. Reviews and audits work from departmental staff and ensures work is accurate. Ensures that monthly quality reports and standards are audited through quality control audit process. Corrects discrepancies as needed. Ensures that quality control functions for Gen pact and third party vendors are preformed within guidelines and a timely manner. Provides input on performance assessment of vendors. Monitoring and compliance for insurance for commercial real estate loans. May conduct research and reporting as needed for discrepancies on more complex loans. Monitoring and compliance for property tax for commercial real estate loans. May conduct research and reporting as needed for discrepancies on more complex loans. May lead special project and complete other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and minimum of 3 years related experience required. Prior commercial loan servicing experience is required. Working knowledge of commercial loan documents, insurance, and property taxes preferred. CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES None COMMUNICATION SKILLS Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues. FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis. REASONING ABILITY Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite Products (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.). Must be able to accurately perform numeric data input into the loan system. Must have the ability to create excel spreadsheets or other reports. Experience with McCracken preferred. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
