The Senior Associate will be responsible for assisting in the underwriting of debt and equity investments.
Credit analysis and underwriting for real estate and debt and equity investments in all types of commercial real estate
Interaction with borrower-sponsors and mortgage and investment sales brokers
Overseeing and managing the real estate and legal due diligence processes, including direct interaction with borrowers, sponsors, and internal/external constituents
Direct responsibility for due diligence of the borrower-sponsor, business plan, market analysis, and financial analysis and modeling
Direct responsibility for the legal due diligence and closing process
Preparation of term sheets, credit memos, and presentation to credit committees
Monitoring progress and performance of assets in comparison to budgets and timelines
Gathering presentation materials for the summary and dissemination of information related to investments
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or Business Administration
Master’s Degree preferred
Minimum five years of experience related to real estate investing, investment banking, or capital markets
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in Argus preferred
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to be prompt and punctual in responses and all assigned tasks
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, including team members in satellite offices
Ability to travel as necessary for due diligence and other requirements as needed
