JOB SUMMARY Are you an innovative, seasoned graphic designer who loves bringing fresh perspectives to the table and using your creativity to design exceptional property marketing? Does the idea of being THE go-to design expert when it comes to branding and marketing our commercial real estate listings seem right up your alley? We're looking for an experienced, team-oriented, customer-centric, highly organized senior graphic designer to join our property marketing team. You will be responsible for the conceptualization and strategy of high-level design, as well as the tactical production of deliverables. This role requires critical thinking, resourcefulness, business acumen and the ability to sell one's ideas effectively. You must have an in-depth knowledge of graphic-design software and techniques. As well, as a passion to stay up to date on the latest design trends. It requires an advanced knowledge of Adobe CC, Microsoft Office 365, and a working knowledge of HTML and basic coding languages. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conceptualize and produce strategic, visually engaging designs to support property marketing efforts using both print and digital technologies and deliver exceptional outcomes for clients Apply strategic mindset and design experience to elevate product - application of tools and technology, data informed design and strategy, application of user experience tactics, etc. Take accountability for the design execution of a project from concept to completion, providing professional input to ensure highest design standards, quality control, and brand adherence Partner with account managers to provide design advice and perspective to our clients - provide property marketing perspective for speculative work, offer creative expertise on new project kick off calls, suggest and present creative concepts during follow-up meetings Communicate professionally and effectively with marketing team, clients, leadership Take responsibility as lead designer for our highest-level, most complex design projects Identify and implement ways to elevate our creative process and improve our service offering Stay aware of emerging design techniques, tools, and technologies (both internally and externally) and advise on their integration and implementation into our product Mentor and train graphic designers, freelancers, and contractors; conducts training on design software applications as needed Manage time efficiently, work with limited oversight Learn and utilize proprietary tools/technologies to create, edit, and distribute enhanced digital deliverables Adhere to appointed procedures, guidelines and deadlines in order to achieve peak results Recommend preferred vendors and ensure quality control, when necessary Review all drafts for accuracy before sending to account manager, ensuring each draft reflects the client's instructions or revisions and their preferences are met Ensure CBRE brand and legal requirements are met Consult and work on additional special marketing projects or other duties as assigned This position is for you if: You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-intensity, high-volume environment You are detail-oriented, organized, and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy You are thoughtful, innovative, and creative - ready to use your skills to take our listings to the next level of property marketing You would describe yourself as reliable, consistent, hard-working and a driven team player You assist and support your team members without hesitation, always willing to lend a hand You have a can-do attitude, flexible, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven atmosphere SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES There are no formal supervisory responsibilities in this position, but this individual will be accountable for mentoring junior designers, freelancers and contractors around them. They will be responsible for providing technical guidance, collaboration opportunities and general design direction as needed. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Fine Arts or Masters of Fine Arts degree preferred with a minimum of five years related experience and/or training. CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES None. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to internal clients. Ability to effectively present information. FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires ability to do project budgets and cost estimates. REASONING ABILITY Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Must have a solid grasp of fundamental concepts of print and web publishing and graphic design principles. Intermediate skills with web design. Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Familiarity with Adobe Dreamweaver. Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word Familiarity with MS Excel. Basic project management, editing and writing skills required. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting department deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or line of business.
