RESPONSIBILITIES Through sales and marketing efforts, help ensure CBRE Data Center Solutions reaches its sales growth targets. Responsible for all aspects of business development/sales pursuits in assigned area; including financials, solutioning, development of win strategy, leadership of all client-facing meetings, and contract negotiations. Acts as a thought partner and advisor to the business lines in their own specific marketing and business development activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Facilitates and contributes a major role in all sales and marketing efforts from lead generation through relationship management. Secure new client accounts for the CBRE Data Center Solutions by sales means including cold calling, networking, etc. Develop marketing and sales strategy and goals for assigned area/region or client type. Work with CBRE Data Center Solutions team to understand the sales needs and identify potential client targets of the team. Gain knowledge of area/region CBRE Data Center Solutions team requirements/needs. Monitor and meet the established sales goals of the area/region. Report status of sales activity and results to the D/MD/SMD/EMD as requested. Develop solutions within the practice framework to meet the area/region needs. Review business journals, sales data, and other sources to identify potential client targets. Make sales presentations to prospective and current clients as well as firm personnel. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan and supervise assignments of lower level employees. Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university required. MBA preferred. Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training with a background in finance, consulting, or analytics preferred. Experience must include a minimum of 2 years commercial real estate developing outsourcing solutions, pricing and org development models. Real Estate license preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to prepare analytics and reports in a pre-designed style and format. Ability to effectively and efficiently respond to inquiries from clients, co-workers, supervisor, and/or management. Ability to effectively present information. Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Reviews complex financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates. Ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions. Develops and implements financial policies and procedures. Approves and oversees departmental budget. Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills. Technically savvy with solid experience in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Outlook. Advanced Excel skills preferred. Experience working with large data sets and decipher multiple types of RFP models preferred. Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
