Senior Client Strategy Consulting Analyst - Remote

JOB SUMMARY The purpose of this position is to lead a variety of complex analyses used in the development of deliverables focused on real estate strategies in support of CBRE's clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCreation of complex multi-scenario financial models illustrating impacts of projects or transactions on both a cash and book (GAAP) basis Develop comprehensive slide decks, memorandums, etc. summarizing the developed financial analysis' impact on the project/transaction Work closely with a number of subject matter experts from both the internal team (CBRE) and external client team throughout the data collection and refinement process, and work to implement the approved plan of action Maintain working knowledge of GAAP accounting and client-specific interpretations of GAAP as well as jointly developed financial analysis assumptions (example: discount rate, exchange rate) and modeling methodologies. Ensure modeling effectively captures these items. Attend calls/meetings to discuss and explain the financial analysis and its impact on given projects/transactions Supports development of more complex analyses related to specific initiatives; prepares professional supporting documentation in a variety of formats. Provides detailed analysis to identify and support optimization initiatives across a spectrum of real estate related activities, including organization design, process improvement, and management practices. Assists in the development and completion of strategic real estate plans by working with cross-functional internal real estate teams to develop innovative real estate strategies to meet business unit real estate requirements. Strategies could include initiatives that reduce the cost and maximize the value of the client's existing real estate portfolio. Conducts, synthesizes, and presents research on industry best practices, benchmarks, and other issues of concern to the client and prepares preliminary recommendations. Interfaces with various departments and senior management as appropriate. Partners with real estate managers and staff as a resource and peer. Supports real estate-related communications with senior client representatives (e.g., the head of corporate real estate). Documents cost saves from CRE initiatives, nationally and regionally, as required. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNo formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan and supervise assignments of lower level employees. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university. Masters degree or MBA preferred. Minimum 5+ years of related experience. Post-degree work experience in the corporate finance-related field in fast-paced, self-supervised, deal / project-driven environment preferred. CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSESReal Estate license, as required by the State. Professional certification, professional designations (e.g. BCCR, CCIM, CPM, MAI), and/or graduate-level training in commercial real estate is desirable. COMMUNICATION SKILLSExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set and achieve project deadlines, and manage client expectations. Ability to effectively ask key clarifying questions and present information. Ability to write reports for and/or present to client staff and senior management. Ability to effectively respond to sensitive issues, complex inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, supervisor, and/or management FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGERequires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis. Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles, corporate finance theory and common practices, and GAAP accounting rules/regulations. Thorough understanding of real estate valuation and accounting and how real estate is reported from a corporate finance perspective on both cash and book basis. Demonstrated financial modeling experience. REASONING ABILITYAbility to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex business documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills. OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIESAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite Products. Knowledge of real estate-specific software solutions like Tririga, Manhattan CenterStone, Siterra Plus, or Argus is a plus. Knowledge of advanced graphic/information design programs (e.g., InDesign, Visio); Strong work ethic; willingness to go the extra mile in support of the client. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITYDecisions made with a thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause a short-term impact on the department. This position may be performed remotely anywhere within the United States except the State of Colorado.
