Job Summary The CBRE Sacramento Multifamily Investment Sales Team, the region's most successful multifamily team, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to conduct underwriting and financial analysis efforts. Candidates must possess analytical, communication, problem solving, and quantitative skills. The successful candidate will conduct advanced real estate analysis by maintaining financial models, monitoring property performance, and creating other financial analyses on an as-needed basis. Candidate will also be responsible for conducting market research. Duties o Perform complex financial analyses with supervision, including cash flow projections, sensitivity analyses, and debt structure scenarios o Analyze review, and interpret real estate source documents, including operating statements, rent rolls, leases, and other due diligence material o Create and maintain sophisticated Excel-based analytical models o Gather and evaluate economic, demographic, and real estate market data for input into project specific deliverables and in support of underwiring assumptions o Compile and present the results of analyses and effectively address questions. o Compile market information, occupancy data, expense analysis, aerials, maps, comparable rent/sales o Conduct research on buildings such as ownership and building specifications, and analysis for presentations and tracking purposes in appropriate databases o Update and maintain sales comparables utilizing multiple information services to industry sources o Collect information pertaining to current and historical real estate transactions, local economic activity, and other information as requested by the team o Assist team with property marketing materials, including brochures, offering memorandums, marketing proposals, opinions of value, team mailers and newsletters o Other duties may be assigned by team
Qualifications and Skills o Education and Experience # Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university # 1-3 years of experience in a financial analysis environment in the debt or commercial real estate industry preferred # Strong computer skills with strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word # Self motivated, team oriented and strong time management skills to prioritize deadlines # Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate into strategic deliverables # Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure and effectively manage time and workload # Intermediate understanding of real estate fundamentals # Strong research, analytical and writing skills o Software proficiencies # Excel (Intermediate level and above) # Word # PowerPoint # Outlook o Communications # Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret various types of real estate and general business documents. # Strong writing skills and the ability to compile market research reports, articles, and marketing materials
