Indigo Asset Services, a privately-held commercial real estate asset management firm is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a leadership position in its Arlington, Virginia office. This position is full-time and reports directly to the company’s President.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for the real estate investment properties. The growing company manages real estate partnership of all asset types (office, retail, industrial and multi-family) for multiple client portfolios. The Accounting Manager is expected to contribute to the development of financial and operational strategy and systems, supervise the quality of the company’s accounting and financial reporting, and monitor the control systems designed to preserve the Company’s business and assets. Bachelors in Accounting, Business or related discipline
Accounting Experience: minimum 5 years
Supervisor Experience: 2+ years
Computer and Regulation Literacy
Possesses extensive knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as SharePoint platform.
Working knowledge of QuickBooks preferred and experience with real estate software such as Yardi and MRI a plus.
Able to source, lead onboard and manage utilization of proptech software platforms that lead to team efficiencies.
Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent rules and regulations.
Positive team oriented person able to shift between leading, reporting and cooperation to effectively develop systems, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
Successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organizational and problem solving skills which support and enable sound decision making.
Outstanding written and verbal communication, relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Must have a passion for getting things done while balancing an appreciation for details with working effectively within strict time constraints.
Must believe in continual process improvement.
Heightened sensitivity to various levels of management having access to pertinent information.
Must demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a desire to continuously expand knowledge base.
Additional Salary Information: Up to 20% bonus potential
