This is a senior-level professional position that will assist CODA in conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESAs) and other due diligence environmental assessments. Candidate will be responsible for environmental review of commercial real estate transactions supporting institutional investors and writing proposals for additional environmental services. The position will perform technical analysis and evaluate environmental risk associated with hazardous substances found at commercial properties. The candidate will work with external partners to maintain performance expectations and ensure accurate, high quality, timely results.
Manage consultant scope, budget, and invoicing and work with contractors to ensure issues are resolved.
Interact with others to implement technical resources.
Manage multi-disciplinary technical teams and external consultants to perform environmental analysis supporting projects.
Contribute to address issues and tackle problems to advance projects.
Serve as a subject matter expert in providing interpretation of environmental regulations and rules that affect the environmental review process for projects.
Perform project delivery activities including field surveys, sampling, and inspections, collecting and organizing field survey data, performing research/ literature reviews, and writing field notes and reports.
Provide technical assistance on a wide range of projects including environmental due diligence services, habitat assessments, wetland delineations and reports, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, asbestos and lead-based paint surveys, and other related environmental tasks.
Conduct tasks related to environmental assessments that include but are not limited to land use planning/facility siting, and field-based environmental assessments and risk assessments.
Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.
Support Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to deliver exceptional client value on projects.
Work as an integral part of the Assessment team and support the goals of the team.
The candidate is expected to be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with good technical writing skills and effective communication skills. Great opportunity for candidates with 15 to 20 years of experience in a rapidly growing national due diligence firm. Must have a Baccalaureate or higher degree in a discipline of engineering or science. Must have willingness to travel. Knowledge in assessing various property types (including gas stations, dry cleaners, industrial and manufacturing sites, retail, and multi-family) preferred. Licensed asbestos inspector and/or lead-based paint certifications and current 40-hour HAZWOPER training certifications are a plus.
