Under the broad supervision of the Senior Vice President, Government and Corporate Relations, responsible for strategic and operational direction of Pittsburgh Innovation Campus, which includes Neighborhood 91 (N91), the first development in the world to both condense and connect all components of the Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing supply chain into one powerful production ecosystem. The incumbent, with an entrepreneurial spirit, works collaboratively with various local, national, and international community partners, departments and stakeholders to development strategies and programs regarding the retention and expansion of business on the campus.

Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities for N91 through organized activities and preparing proposals for specific businesses targeted for location to the Pittsburgh region;
Identify the engagement strategy to position N91, and Pittsburgh as the location of choice for new businesses/investments and for the expansion/growth of existing companies
Lead negotiations on business partnerships or development agreements for commercial and industrial business development for the N91 campus; oversee agreements for compliance with state, local and/or federal regulations;
Partner cross-functionally with leadership, developers, real estate professionals, business and property owners, lenders, community groups, legal counsel, local, state and federal officials and citizen groups concerning N91 development projects
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop, coordinate and implement plans designed to identify and capture new business opportunities that will maximize the utilization and revenue from the N91 campus
Define short and long-range strategies, goals and key performance indicators for development projects by identifying and prioritizing opportunities aligned with strategic goals and objectives
Review and assess local and regional community data including current economic and community development, business and workforce development to attract and retain businesses
Provide support and development to contractors and staff through performance management, coaching, training, motivation, and discipline
Provide leadership for the endeavor to promote the region’s strengths in manufacturing; coordinate with our critical partners in this endeavor including but not limited to the foundations community, local universities, Pittsburgh Works Together, the Allegheny Conference, Hazelwood Green and the R&D-focused entities in Advanced Manufacturing, among others.
Direct the development of campus operations and lead coordination amongst tenants.
Perform other related tasks as assigned or required.
The successful candidate in the Vice President, Pittsburgh Innovation Campus role will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Extensive knowledge of the real estate development process, relevant financing mechanisms including applications for and award of grant monies, construction and permanent loans and its application on airports
Advanced knowledge of the policies, practices and techniques of general management and administration, Pennsylvania economic development and related agencies, procedures and regulations.
Advanced experience or demonstrated working relationships with diverse and complex organizations, including government, contractors, partners, etc.
Advanced knowledge of the environmental permitting process and socio-economic impact analysis.
Experience in manufacturing and/or awareness or understanding of the supply chain a big plus.
Advanced ability to create business solutions to practical problems, including the integration of technology.
Exceptional understanding of the practices and techniques of senior organizational leadership, management, and administration; including staff development and direct supervision.
Extensive analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in guiding and shaping government grants and funding at State and Federal levels.
Proficient at being able to compile and execute complex deal structures including private-public partnership and/or multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrated Profit & Loss experience.
Demonstrated ability in cultivating relationships with stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and software

The minimum requirements needed to qualify for the Vice President, Pittsburgh Innovation Campus role are:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Management, Aviation Management, Planning, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
10 years related experience, 5 years managerial experience.
Proven revenue development and implementation experience; airport experience and/or Industrial or Commercial real estate development experience a plus; some private sector business experience preferred.
Possess or obtain prior to employment a valid Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license. Note: license must be maintained throughout employment.
