The Product Manager for Data Product Management will be a product leader tasked with developing and executing against the Data Product Strategy that would leverage and enhance our Enterprise Data Platform and subsequent products for the Americas markets. Specifically, the Director Data Product Management will be responsible for consolidating the disparate existing products into one common platform and interface in alignment with the respective business segment leaders. S/he will lead the Data Product Management function reporting to Vice President of Data Product Management.
The Director Data Product Management must have a passion for developing digital and technology powered products that blend seamlessly with customer's workflows and provide the right information at the right time. The individual must possess technical expertise, project management experience and a strong knowledge of product management, engineering, data analytics, and support processes.
This position will be a people manager of a high performing team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and define the data product strategy and roadmap for Advisory business
Own the vision of the products; identify and manage risks, dependencies, and opportunities. Leverage market knowledge data to amplify product development
Stakeholder management: Effectively communicate the status, value, and importance of data to executive teams across the company. Manage a unified platform roadmap taking the intent from relevant market teams. Drive feature prioritization and influence decisions to package scope for monthly/quarterly delivery
Facilitate conversations between all impacted stakeholders, including executives, engineers, analysts, other product teams, and external customers
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior data product managers through their product lifecycles and career progression
Instigate a feedback loop with core customer groups, such as brokers, research team members, and analysts, to understand their specific user requirements
Own and manage the product backlog, facilitate discussions, and user story grooming.
