CBRE's Advisory Finance Team is looking to add a Senior Financial Analyst as a business partner to our Managing Directors and Operations teams in the US markets. This position has full P&L access and responsibilities for communication of Divisional and Local Market Area results and responsible for communicating the market strength and weaknesses through the P&L.
Our next team member, is someone who has a desire to impact the business by thoroughly understanding the financials, can move at a fast pace (pivoting and improving are key), has a passion for the Corporate Real Estate Industry (no prior experience is need, just a desire to learn), and wants to go beyond the basic reporting functionalities of a "traditional" FP&A team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluates and analyzes a variety of financial results and indicators such as the P&L, capital deployment, pipeline conversion metrics, liability balances etc. In partnership with the market area leaders, recommends actions that may be taken to improve financial results.
Through the monthly close & forecast process, annual budgets, and ad-hoc analysis provide financial roadmaps for market performance based on research insights, market leader sentiment, and broker submitted pipeline.
Advances the vision of the financial innovation office to provide one source of financial truth and continue to move away from being "report driven machines" to delivering data driven financial insights about the business through dashboarding and automation.
Key partner in analyzing recruiting and retention of brokers, by modeling out proposed contracts and understand the IRR and proposed EBITDA. Be able to measure actual performance against model and recommend suggestions for improvements.
Performs approval requirements as needed for the hiring compensation process, commission overrides, journal entries etc.
Be an actively engaged team member of the divisions finance team. For our team to succeed and continuously move forward & improve, we must work collaboratively together by mentoring, training, encouraging, and engaging with our other team members.
Performs other duties as assigned.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
Mentorship role to new team members and to the financial analyst assigned to the division.
Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to co-workers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.
