Hillcrest Golf Course is an 18 hole public golf course located along the Blue River Greenway in the heart of Kansas City. Hillcrest originally was a private country club that was established in 1899. In 1912 the world renowned Scottish golf course architect Donald Ross, who also designed famous championship courses at Pinehurst, Oakland Hills, and Oak Hill, began to design Hillcrest on its current location. Ross's design placed Hillcrest amongst the secluded rolling hills, glades, and beautiful hardwood forests of the Blue River. The country club opened for play in 1916. Some of the most famous golfers in history have set foot at Hillcrest including Sam Snead, Ben Hogan, Gene Sarazen, Byron Nelson, and Arnold Palmer to name a few.
Hillcrest has been owned by Price Management since early 2020. Price Management is a leading commercial real estate developer with many luxurious, high end properties throughout the KC metro area. Price Management recently added another golf course to their portfolio when they acquired Teetering Rocks Golf Course in 2021.
When Price Management acquired Hillcrest in 2020 they immediately began investing resources into renovating this Donald Ross beauty with the goal of returning the golf course to its former glory. One of the many improvements they chose was a bunker reconstruction project. Sand was removed from the twenty nine bunkers on the course and replaced with "Premier White" Arkansas quartz sand.
In the midst of this course rejuvenation, Hillcrest Golf Course as well as Price Management, are looking for a motivated, detail oriented individual with a strong work ethic and positive attitude that can assist in the daily operations of a golf course as well as possibly helping in the upkeep of high end commercial properties when needed.
