The Opportunity
Reporting to Berkadia's Director - Benefits & Compensation this role will manage our compensation programs and engage with internal and external partners to develop and execute comprehensive reward and recognition programs. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of strategy, design, implementation, administration, and management of company compensation philosophies and programs for various business units at Berkadia. A critical aspect of this role will be ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and HR policies. This individual may also be involved in the company's benefits design.
What you get to do:
- Build and drive the strategic design and execution of our compensation, and equity programs in line with business objectives, financial goals, and cultural norms.
- Conduct job evaluations and apply decision support tools to ensure equitable and competitive employee pay.
- Benchmark company programs and monitor trends regularly to proactively adjust company plans and programs to ensure market competitiveness
- Participate in area and industry compensation surveys or special compensation studies, including market-based pricing, to ensure the company's competitive position within the marketplace. Review and evaluate findings, assess unique company needs, and develop specific recommendations to management concerning the compensation structure.
- Provide analysis of in-depth market compensation research and benchmarking data for various industries. Translating survey results into appropriate actions on salary structure movements and methodology.
- Reviews company-wide compensation for consistency across levels.
- Evaluate jobs, salaries, and incentives to assess internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of pay practices.
- Establish and measure compensation and potentially benefit program metrics
- Ensure total rewards programs align with company values and support the desired employment experience (Anniversary Program, Recognition Programs, etc.)
- Manages Berkadia's Tuition Reimbursement Program, measuring return on Investment, and making recommendations to Berkadia's leadership team about enhancements.
- Contribute to strengthening communication between the business and employees related to compensation and rewards
- Development of Total Reward Statements and related communication strategies for Berkadia's employees to better understand their total Compensation.
- Oversees Wellness Program strategy and roadmap, including management of Wellness Committee meetings and reaching milestones with the goal of achieving measurable ROI against medical claims.
- Other duties as assigned.
What someone will need to be successful in this role
- Proven experience developing & maintaining compensation programs
- Experience with Health & Wellness program management preferred
Travel Expectations
Minimal domestic travel required (10-20%)
Work Location
This role may be required to be onsite within a Berkadia office or designated location periodically at the request of the manager for things such as meetings, trainings, or events.
