The Senior Associate - Real Estate Client Services is a dynamic role on a growing team. You will take responsibility for the client experience, in line with Bailard’s commitment to excellence. Working closely with and reporting to the Senior Vice President of Business Development, you will also work to support and generate new relationships and sales channels. We are looking for a well-rounded individual who is driven to succeed, naturally curious, and takes initiative.
As the Senior Associate - Real Estate Client Services, you will:
Client Service (50% to 75%)
Support SVP in servicing clients, consultants, and prospects; respond to inquiries, updates and questions from investors, intermediaries, consultants, and advisors
Lead quarterly transactions process for shareholders both purchasing and redeeming as well as external stakeholders including transfer agent and client intermediaries, and internal reporting requirements
Oversee shareholder account operations across stakeholders, inclusive of account-level updates
Manage transfer agent relationship
Respond to audit confirmation requests
Maintain third-party platforms, including CRM and Client Portal, as well as internal reporting systems
Manage Fund documentation and coordinate with internal Compliance team for real estate regulatory matters
Coordinate reporting to the Core fund’s Board of Directors
Understand Firm compliance, client communication, and reporting functions to contribute to process improvements and drive exceptional client service, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
Business Development (50% to 25%)
Independently, and in concert with the SVP, identify business development opportunities and support the collective sales effort, including owning RFP preparation and due diligence requests
Populate and maintain Consultant Databases and regularly scheduled Questionnaires
Coordinate communication efforts in support of investor pipeline

The following qualifications are preferred:
A passion for serving clients by being responsive and empathetic
5+ years financial services experience
Ideally possess an understanding of private real estate and the real estate markets, with capacity to speak to portfolio strategy, positioning, and competitive differentiators
Strong project management skills including ability to organize and track multiple threads of activity and deliver on tight timelines, with a hands-on approach to resolving issues
Ability to handle confidential material with utmost discretion, and apply industry regulations and best practices
Excellent business writing and proofreading skills, and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft 365 and additional third-party systems including CRM/Sales management (working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and Juniper Square preferred)
Series 63 licensed or obtained within 3 months of joining

Where you’ll be:
This role will be Hybrid and ideally located in the New York City metro for proximity to SVP. Alternatively, the position could be located in the San Francisco Bay Area or Atlanta metros.
Ability to work remote and in an office based on geographical location.
20% to 40% Travel to support existing client servicing and business development efforts, as well as to Bailard’s home office in the San Francisco Bay Area for collaboration opportunities.
