Responsible for active business development, originating, evaluating, authorizing, recommending for approval and monitoring of small business loans and small business depository relationships including treasury management services.
Essential Duties
Perform sales activities to deepen current relationships as well as develop new relationships with business clients. Results are expected.
Develop and maintain a robust referral network
Keep relevant CRM information current
Represent the Bank at various civic and community functions
Responsible for developing deep client relationships by working with partners in Consumer Lending, Private Banking and Treasury Management to uncover additional client needs
Make referrals to Commercial Real Estate and Middle Market where appropriate
Originate, evaluate, authorize or recommend approval of small business loans
Generate new loan and deposit opportunities
Analyze new loan requests along with underwriters
Interview clients and prospects regarding credit and other banking service needs
Evaluate financial condition including cash flow, repayment capacity, collateral position
Work with underwriters to prepare loan presentations; prepare loan presentation when underwriters are not available
Work with Loan Operations and/or attorneys to generate loan documents
Evaluate and monitor existing small business loans
Respond to current client inquiries
Request updated financial information and keep all files up to date in terms of financial tickler compliance
Negotiate extensions
Complete compliance related documents (HMDA, CRA, and Adverse Action forms).
Assist with analysis of Special Assets
Monitor portfolio for potential problem loans
Review problem loans
Attend Special Asset meetings as necessary
Perform additional departmental duties such as:
Review overdrafts and contact overdrawn clients
Contact clients with past due loans
Attend departmental meetings
Attend Directors Loan Committee meetings
Attend Management Loan Committee meetings
Attend Officer meetings
Support the Bank’s CRA commitment by development of relationships with not-for-profit organizations, community groups and low/moderate housing financing opportunities

Training & Experience
College degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent related experience
1 - 5 years of experience in banking industry
2 - 5 years of experience in small business banking area preferred
2+ years of business development experience preferred
Microsoft, CRM and Laser Pro proficiency
