Trez Capital, a recognized leader in Canada’s private real estate lending industry, is currently seeking one new member for its Board of Governors. This vacancy is due to a current board member completing their term. Candidates must hold a CPA designation, have audit committee experience and preferably have held senior management or board roles in the real estate industry and be located in Canada. Trez manages a number of investor funds, including five income trusts which are governed by a Board of Governors. The Board is primarily an oversight board addressing potential conflicts of interest that may arise and reviewing investments made by the manager on a quarterly basis. The Board’s Audit Committee approves financial statements and addresses auditor related matters.
The Board is expected to hold five meetings per year in Vancouver, BC, with remuneration paid on a set annual fee basis.
