The Director of Business Development will have excellent interpersonal communication skills, and strong leadership/coordination acumen. They will be responsible for aggressively identifying, prospecting, developing, securing and qualifying business opportunities to support new revenue growth for Construction Management and Design/Build services. This is a hands-on management position requiring flexibility and adaptability in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment and a strategic understanding of AEC business operations.

Minimum Qualifications

-Four-year degree in business administration, communications, marketing, construction or a similar technical related field preferred

-10 to 15 years of business development experience with 4 years business development experience in the construction industry (i.e., General Contractor, Construction Manager, Design/Build, etc.) preferred.

-Previous experience in Aviation and Aerospace, Industrial and Advanced Manufacturing markets preferred. Experience with Design-Build, CM at Risk and Qualifications Based delivery methods preferred.

-Communication - excellent oral presentation and written skills.

-Interpersonal - Able to work well and persuade people at all levels of organization. Seeks ways to provide mutual internal support to others.

-Goal oriented - able to set goals and achieve them.

-Organizational ability - able to plan, prioritize, organize and monitor activities and projects. Able to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach.

-Position will support the Greenville, SC office. Preferred that the individual reside in the Upstate area. Alternately, if the candidate lives in the Southeast and is willing to travel to Greenville on a regular basis, that may be negotiated. Relocation package offered if willing to live in Greenville. We are open to the ideal candidate being remote. This role is heavy travel with frequent needed travel to our Greenville, SC office.
