Goldman Sachs Private Bank is a business line of Private Banking, Lending & Deposits within Asset and Wealth Management. The Private Bank provides competitive borrowing and cash management solutions that are strategically integrated with our client's wealth management goals. Our experienced team advises clients on new loans, refinancing and restructuring of existing loans along with overall liability management.
Our lenders and mortgage specialists provide a wide range of creative borrowing solutions against asset classes ranging from marketable securities and alternative investments, residential and commercial real estate to more tailored solutions against private assets such as aviation, fine art or vineyards.
This position will quickly play a lead role in driving the expansion of one of our key growth areas - Alternatives Lending.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
The successful candidate will help formulate and drive execution of the business strategy across multiple functions including product development, marketing, pricing, balance sheet management and service delivery
Product Management
Enhance platform to further streamline the intra-divisional connectivity and delivery of the product to advisors and their clients.
Partner with Private Bank and Asset Management legal to ensure eligible Fund list is maintained and expanded as new Funds are launched.
Maintain a database of market intelligence across Alternative Lending
Oversee ad-hoc financial and market analysis to determine and support key strategic choices
Construct new analyses and models to help understand and analyze business' profitability and performance in partnership with the Franchise Management team.
Marketing
Partnering with Asset Management and Alternative Capital Markets Group on new Fund launches to ensure a coordinated launch event which includes details of lending availability (where applicable)
Creating a marketing strategy across Wealth Management globally in partnership with Private Bank lenders and Alternative Capital Markets Group to drive awareness and growth.
Governance and Controls - including but not limited to:
Maintain product policies and procedures with Private Bank governance team.
Partner with control side teams to ensure appropriate limit monitoring and utilization is updated and enhanced.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Knowledge of Alternative Investments as an asset class
Experience managing large, complex products, platform enhancements and internal relationships with minimal oversight.
Eager to work in an entrepreneurial, project-driven environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
Collaborative, energetic, enthusiastic, and a self-starter
Keen analytical skills and detailed oriented
Robust financial analysis and modeling skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Bachelors Degree required

Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $115000-$270000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
