Northmarq is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Finance & Accounting department in their Minneapolis, MN (Bloomington, MN) headquarters office. This individual will be an integral team member in supporting our key strategic projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, forward thinking and innovative.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain various models used to project business results and use modelling skills to support the Company’s data-driven decision making
Provide operational analysis and reporting designed to drive increased awareness into departmental and total company performance
Assist with preparation of the annual budget and various forecasting
Drive efficiencies in data collection and improve upon data analysis tools
Collaborate with key stakeholders to define key financial and operational metrics to continuously monitor, track, and report performance.
Assist implementation of strategic initiatives that drive growth and operational improvements
Support the monthly financial reporting and analysis function, forecast specific areas within the business, and manage ad-hoc data and financial analysis
Assist the Finance team in key business projects and initiatives
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
5 or more years’ of relevant accounting/finance experience with proven experience in financial analysis and modeling.
Proficiency with accounting software systems, CRM (i.e. Salesforce) and Microsoft Suite products; Expert Excel skills
Experience with FP&A preferred
Comfort in working in multiple data sets to find common reporting solutions
Experience working in a corporate finance environment
Experience using BI reporting tools, Power BI
Strong analytical, verbal, written, problem solving and interpersonal skills
Solid knowledge and understanding of forecasting techniques or statistical analysis
Demonstrated organization skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and a variety of assignments; able to prioritize and meet deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with co-workers and cross functional areas about various assigned tasks
