Continental Properties, a national developer of multifamily real estate, is looking for a Vice President of Acquisitions to lead land acquisition efforts and enable our continued growth and success.
As a VP of Acquisitions your main responsibility will be the identification of, and securing approval for, potential rental housing and multifamily sites. You will provide the overall strategy and lead your team through the development project lifecycle from due diligence to construction.
We are considering candidates outside of Wisconsin. You will be required to travel to our home office and assigned markets, with a level of remote work available.
Create clear and concise market strategies for each target market; develop a thorough understanding of each market and become a local expert
Analyze and evaluate regional and local market fundamentals to identify additional submarkets
Maintain a strong presence in each market with a deep network of local relationships; focus on developing and maintaining strong relationships with landowners including negotiating all business points for the site acquisition
Evaluate sites based on Continental’s site selection criteria and complete financial analysis to determine viability and profitability of potential sites
Understand all aspects of the pro-forma including total project costs, revenue projections, cash flows and how each variable may affect ROI
Present projects to Investment Committee and external stakeholders such as lenders, investors, and municipal staff/politicians

Skills Critical to Success:
A strategic leader with 3 to 5 years of experience in real estate, development, and land acquisitions
Strong understanding of the real estate development process, land acquisition department operations, budgets and proformas, and a proven track record of leading and growing a strong team
Strong business acumen and skill to represent Continental with key external stakeholders to effectively negotiation deals
Able to easily manage multiple priorities and ensure all intended objectives are met while holding yourself and others accountable to the team contributions
Results oriented, proactive, and willing to take initiative; perseveres through obstacles
