We are seeking a Senior Project Architect who is energized by thoughtful design, technical precision, and meaningful collaboration. This role is ideal for someone who values both craftsmanship and relationships, and who desires to lead projects with integrity from early design through construction.
The Senior Project Architect will help create an exceptional client experience by:
- Translating design vision into clear, coordinated construction documentation
- Leading projects with accuracy, organization, and technical excellence
- Collaborating closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams
- Supporting thoughtful solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, budget, and constructability
- Mentoring team members and elevating the quality of project delivery across the studio
Responsibilities
Project Leadership + Technical Design
- Engage in early project planning and design development
- Translate conceptual design into coordinated construction documents
- Lead technical detailing, code analysis, and documentation strategy
- Coordinate consultant teams and interdisciplinary project information
- Maintain quality control throughout documentation phases
- Participate in construction administration, including submittals, RFIs, and site observations
- Support clear and effective graphic communication standards
Team Collaboration + Mentorship:
- Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and consultants
- Guide and mentor emerging team members
- Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in architecture
- Licensed Architect (Michigan licensure preferred)
- 12+ years of professional architectural experience
- Strong technical expertise in construction documentation and detailing
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and SketchUp
- Experience coordinating consultants and managing complex project documentation
- Construction administration experience required
- Specification preparation experience preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- A desire to contribute to a mission-driven architectural practice
