THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a role for someone who loves people, loves growth, and wants to be at the forefront of an expanding firm making its mark across New York. As our Business Developer, you won't just be filling a pipeline — you'll be building real relationships, telling our story, and opening doors to exciting new markets, including the private developer sector.
You'll work closely with leadership and internal teams, serving as the bridge between who we are and who we're becoming. Your energy and enthusiasm will drive new opportunities while your relationship instincts keep existing clients loyal and engaged. WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field — or equivalent experience that shows you've been out there making things happen
Exceptional communication skills — you connect easily with people, listen well, and know how to inspire confidence in a room
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Energetic, organized, and adaptable — you handle multiple priorities with a smile and never lose sight of the details

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Build Relationships & Drive Business
Cultivate meaningful, lasting relationships with clients across municipalities, private developers, engineers, and contractors — this is the heart of the role
Actively grow Amaracon's presence in the private developer market, identifying new opportunities to bring our services to residential and commercial developers across New York
Serve as a trusted face of Amaracon at networking events, industry conferences, and client meetings — you'll represent our brand with warmth and professionalism
Identify and pursue public and private procurement opportunities across New York markets
Maintain CRM systems and track leads, client activity, and follow-ups to ensure no relationship falls through the cracks
Lead Proposals & Pursuits
Review and analyze RFPs, RFQs, and SOQs to identify the strongest pursuits
Lead the full proposal process — from storytelling and content creation to coordination and on-time submission
Collaborate with our technical teams to weave together project data, resumes, and pricing into compelling proposals
Ensure all submissions meet compliance requirements and deadlines
Track wins, losses, and client feedback to continuously sharpen our approach
Grow Our Market Presence
Monitor bid platforms and construction market activity to stay ahead of opportunity
Conduct competitor and market research, with a focus on NYC/NY building and construction trends
Support strategic planning with business intelligence and reporting that fuels leadership decisions
Tell Our Story
Develop and maintain marketing materials, proposal packages, and qualification submissions that reflect Amaracon's brand and personality
Support social media, newsletters, and digital presence to keep our community engaged and informed
Assist with client presentations and public-facing materials that make a lasting impression
Connect Teams Internally
Partner with project managers and leadership on pursuits, client transitions, and project handoffs
Support business certifications, renewals, and compliance requirements that strengthen our competitive positioning
Help coordinate client meetings, site visits, and presentations that deepen relationships and create moments that matter
